The city name is the wrong unit.
Cross-city traffic in any Indian metro eats 90 minutes. If your meeting is in Whitefield, stay Whitefield, not MG Road. If it’s BKC, stay BKC. Hotel quality matters less than location quality for business trips.
Each city page on our site lists hotels by zone — use those, not generic city lists.

Airport proximity matters for early flights.
6 AM flights from a downtown hotel mean 4 AM wake-ups. Most metros have proper airport-corridor hotels: Aerocity (Delhi), Devanahalli (BLR), Shamshabad (HYD), Andheri/CSIA (Mumbai), Viman Nagar (Pune). Sleep two extra hours.
Aerocity for IGI, Devanahalli for KIA, Andheri for BOM, Shamshabad for RGIA, Viman Nagar for PNQ.

Weekend rates in business cities drop sharply.
Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad — these are weekday cities. The same JW Marriott suite often costs around 40% less on a Saturday night than on a Wednesday. If you’re booking a city staycation, Friday-to-Sunday is the sweet spot.
Best metro staycations: weekend luxury at Westin, JW Marriott, Hyatt, Conrad properties.
